Yours Truly Media’s Abuse of Photographers & Videographers
Yours Truly Media is a nationwide photography company that hires photographers and videographers as contractors for wedding day coverage as well as engagement sessions and other small shoot types. They have been breaking contracts and delaying contractor’s pay in an effort to cover their own debts. These delays have been known to take often times six months to a year to complete payment. Clients will have their balances paid in full, however the contracted photographers and videographers will not receive their pay even after fulfilling all terms of the contract on their end.
The reason Yours Truly Media has gotten away with this over the last four or more years has been because each contractor’s amount would only be enough for a case through small claims court and is not worth the hassle and costs of going through the legal system with a proper attorney. This website has been designed to simply gather enough contractors to create a class action lawsuit so that Yours Truly Media can no longer abuse this issue.
We need a minimum of 50 contractors to start this process, however we know that this problems has been going on for years and has affected hundreds upon hundreds of hard working photographers and videographers. If you know anyone who has also had payment delays or a breach of contract in regards to pay in the past with Yours Truly Media please share this survey with them so that we may include them in our case.
